Static Websites

The website pictured opposite, Private Car, is an example of a static website.

Static websites are composed of separate, individually linked pages.   Each separate page is handwritten in hypertext markup language (html).   Individual static pages contain various bits of information (text, images and links) that does not need to be updated or changed very often.

The pages are a mixture of content and code so, if the content needs to be changed or updated, the changes are usually made by a web designer.

Static websites are most suitable for brochure and other information purposes.
